The song is not a cover of the classic Busta Rhymes jam of the same name, Shura is a massive fan of Janet Jackson, who featured on that 1998 hit. Asked by Hunger to list her biggest influences, Shura had this to say:
I just know this is gonna turn into an epic list. Can’t hold this girl back. The Velvet Rope by Janet Jackson was a game changer in terms of inspiration, but there’s a lot of early Madonna in me, I think.
